DUTY MANAGER  (Midsomer Norton Sports Centre)

Hours – 37 hrs p/w including evenings and weekends

Salary £17,713 – £22,019

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Duty Manager to join our operations team at Midsomer Norton Sports Centre.

Working a three week rota, the successful candidate will have a customer focus, aiming to achieve high standards with a hands-on leadership style. Key areas of responsibility will include ensuring their team offer excellent customer service, exceptional delivery of our programme and faultless presentation of our facility and staff. Leading from the front the Duty Manager will understand the culture required and impart that onto others. Duties include banking, promotion and the sale of services directly to customers, ensuring the building is clean and well maintained at all times, manage any day to day staff issues and assist with service delivery as necessary. A pro-active and positive attitude towards problem solving will be fundamental to success.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person that can hit the ground running. We are looking for a self-motivated, quality focused individual with a keen eye for detail. Ideally you will have a leisure background and a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. An NPLQ qualification is essential. Experience with a swimming pool plant room would be desirable.

This position will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

PART TIME RECREATION ASSISTANT (Writhlington Sports Centre)

Hours – Evenings and weekends

Salary – From £6.43 – £8.12 per hour depending on age, experience and performance.

We are seeking a Recreation Assistant to join our operations team at Writhlington Sports Centre. Working in a team, you will be quick to learn new skills and must be able to use your initiative.
Working a four week rota, the successful candidate will be friendly and have a customer focus, with a hands-on approach to work. .
This position will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

We are looking to recruit self motivated, organised and customer focussed people  to work in our busy Café.

The ability to work as a team is essential .  Full training will be given.

TRAMPOLINE COACH (Writhlington Sports Centre)

Hours – Part time

Hourly Rate – £13.26

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of Writhlington Sports Centre ‘s extensive and professional  Trampoline Programme, where we are committed to seeing all our children develop and grow under the guidance of our professional  coaches.

The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate the following:-

Needs to have minimum Level 2 Trampoline Coach qualification

Available to work weekends and evenings

Ability to deal professionally and confidently with children and adults

Able to teach recreational and development Trampoline lessons

To be able to demonstrate experience of working alongside Assistant Coaches and Volunteers to deliver the programme’s aims

QUALIFIED INDOOR CLIMBING INSTRUCTOR (Writhlington Sports Centre)

Salary – £12.48 per hour

Writhlington Leisure are looking for a CWA qualified,  enthusiastic, energetic instructor to run indoor climbing sessions at our Writhlington site.

We run courses for climbers aged five  to adult, and as such applicants must be comfortable working with groups and individuals across a wide age range. This vacancy would be for evenings and weekends and some holiday periods.

Essential Skills and Experience at least 6 months climbing experience. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with flexible working patterns. Ability to work alone as well as with a team. Previous experience working within a similar role is desirable.
