Duty Manager – Writhlington

Hours – 37 hours per week over a 4 week rota including evenings and weekends

Flexibility required to cover sickness/holidays

Hourly rate £9.55 – £10.10 depending on experience

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to join our team. You should have at least one year’s supervisory experience with excellent administrative and customer care skills. As a key team member you will be quick to learn new skills, and ideally have an interest in sport & leisure.

Main duties include, supervising and maintaining staffing levels, ensuring all staff provide excellent customer care, setting up equipment for activity programmes, supervision of facilities  and activities and maintenance of health and safety standards.

This post requires candidates who are adaptable, enjoy working with the public and have a real appreciation of the importance in delivering a high standard of service. 

This position will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Receptionist to join our operations team at Midsomer Norton Sports Centre.

Working a three week rota, the successful candidate will be the first line of communication for our customers and will be able to deliver outstanding customer service. Attention to detail and initiative will be key to meeting our high standard of professionalism. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and positive who comes across in a happy, friendly manner. The role will require consistent training which is provided and involves working on computer systems, selling products and services as well as making and serving hot drinks.

Level 2 Food Hygiene for Catering would be desirable but not essential.

Hours:  Part-time, 23.66 hours per week average across a 3 week rota including evenings, based at Midsomer Norton

Hourly rate: £6.56 – £8.95 with additional performance related bonuses depending on age, experience and qualifications.

This role will involve making all of our members feel welcome and at ease during every visit whilst motivating them and ensuring that they have an enjoyable workout. A desire to achieve our members individual goals by inspiring, designing, reviewing and inducting fitness programmes is key within this role.

We are looking to develop the successful candidate within their career with us and are looking for someone open to change, enthusiastic about staying on trend and looking to learn. Working closely with our Retention Manager and the Fitness Team, the successful candidate will be guided and supported to become successful and will attempt to achieve some key measurable statistics within this role. With overtime opportunities and utilisation across all of our sites, this opportunity would suit someone with or without experience in the industry looking to make it their career.

Whilst a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification is desired, we will consider unqualified applicants looking to get into the industry and gain the qualification as soon as possible.

TENNIS COACH LEVEL 2 or 3 LTA registered/accredited (Writhlington)

Hours:  Initially Saturday mornings 9am-12noon.  Possibility of further hours doing individual hits/lessons both on Saturday and other days. 

Hourly rate: Level 2 £13.53 / hour (lead rate)- Level 3 £17.47 / hour (lead rate)

We are looking for a confident, energetic coach to join our friendly team and lead Mini Tennis Red and Orange lessons as part of our busy Saturday morning programme.  Excellent communication skills are essential along with experience of planning interesting engaging lessons and leading groups.  We are looking for someone who is used to working with children across the age range from 4 years upwards.
