At Writhlington Leisure we are pleased to offer a Development Gymnastics pathway for both girls and boys. Our development sessions are designed for children with an aptitude in gymnastics and is invitation only.
Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied to their sports lesson by their parent or guardian. Children attending lessons will not be released from our care in the absence of their parent or guardian; we would therefore strongly advise that you remain on site incase of any emergency so we can contact you quickly and that you arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the end of your child’s lesson.
Gymnasts will learn techniques in four pieces of apparatus including Floor, Bar, Beam & Vault.
Our development gymnasts train between 2 – 11 hours per week depending on their age and ability. We expect all of our development gymnasts to compete in low level competitions with our more experienced entering both County and Regional competitions. Gymnasts are also given the opportunity to complete through the NDP Grades which is Nationally recognised by British Gymnastics.
