Climbing Wall

Writhlington climbing wall is a Lottery funded facility. It is the only indoor climbing centre in the area serving both the local populations of Radstock and Midsomer Norton as well as Warminster, Westbury, Frome, Trowbridge, Wells and Bath.   It is 8 meters high with 17 auto belay lines.  There are 50 plus climbing routes ranging from Grade 4 (beginner) to 7A+ (advanced). Grading is very subjective and is therefore provided as a guide only. Grading can be different between indoor climbing centres.

Lead climbing is not permitted on our climbing wall at any time.

Route Setting

We use professional and experienced route setters to set challenging, exciting and varied routes for beginners right through to experienced climbers. 25 of our 50 routes are changed every 3-4 months, guaranteeing 50 new routes every year!

New route setting has been booked in for Monday 2nd December and Tuesday 3rd December.
