We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, organised and customer focussed person to work in our busy Café.  The ability to work as a team is essential .

Position – Receptionist (Midsomer Norton Site)

Hours –  15 – 18 hrs p/w average across a 3 week rota (including evenings and weekends – Rota available on request)

Hourly rate – £7.65

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Receptionist to join our operations team at Midsomer Norton Sports Centre.

Working a three week rota, the successful candidate will be the first line of communication for our customers and will be able to deliver outstanding customer service. Attention to detail and initiative will be key to meeting our high standard of professionalism. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and positive who comes across in a happy, friendly manner. The role will require consistent training which is provided and involves working on computer systems, selling products and services as well as making and serving hot drinks.

Level 2 Food Hygiene for Catering would be desirable but not essential.

Position – Supervisor (Midsomer Norton Site)

Hours –  37 hrs p/w including evenings and weekends

Hourly rate – £8.12 – £8.56 (depending on experience)

We currently have a vacancy for a Supervisor in our busy sports centre. As a key member of the team you must be able to use your initiative and lead staff members. Ideally you will already hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification but if you do not, should at least have a reasonable strength in swimming.

Working a three week rota, the successful candidate will have a customer focus, aiming to achieve high standards with a hands-on leadership style. Key areas of responsibility will include maintaining staffing levels, ensuring all staff provide excellent customer service, set up equipment for activity programmes, lifeguarding, maintaining cleanliness as well as health and safety standards. The Supervisor will learn how to manage a team and will at times have opportunities to stand in as Duty Manager. They must understand the culture required and impart that onto others.

This post requires candidates who are adaptive, enjoy working with the public and have a real appreciation of the importance in delivering a high standard of service.

This position will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

Position – Gymnastics Coach (Writhlington site)

Hours – Part time

Salary – Competitive (to be discussed at interview)

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of Writhlington Sports Centre’s extensive and professional  Gymnastics Programme, where we are committed to seeing all our gymnasts develop and grow under the guidance of our professional  coaches.

The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate the following:-

Needs to have minimum Level 2 Gymnastics qualification

Available to work weekends and evenings

Ability to deal professionally and confidently with children and adults

Able to teach recreational and development gymnastics lessons

To be able to demonstrate experience of working alongside Assistant Coaches and Volunteers to deliver the programme’s aims
