Climbing Wall

Writhlington climbing wall is a Lottery funded facility. It is the only indoor climbing centre in the area serving both the local populations of Radstock and Midsomer Norton as well as Warminster, Westbury, Frome, Trowbridge, Wells and Bath.   It is an 8 meter high, 10 top rope and 7 auto belay lines equipped with quick draws for lead climbing.  There are 50 plus climbing routes ranging from Grade 4 (beginner) to 7A+ (advanced). Grading is very subjective and is therefore provided as a guide only. Grading can be different between indoor climbing centres. Lead climbing is only permitted on our climbing wall when a CWLA instructor is present. Lead climbing will not be permitted in the absence of a Writhlington qualified CWLA instructor.

Route Change

We will aim to achieve at least 1 route change per week to ensure they stay fresh and exciting! Please speak to the supervising instructor during your visit if you have any suggestions or comments regarding new routes.
